How it works

Permits are public. Finding them isn't.

Every city in the Lower Mainland publishes the building permits it issues. The problem is that they publish them in ten different places, in ten different formats — some as a spreadsheet, some as a PDF buried three clicks deep, some as a weekly report you'd have to remember to check. Nobody has time to chase ten city websites every morning before the truck rolls.

1

We check every city, every morning

At 7am Pacific we pull the newest permit records from all ten municipalities, clean them up, throw out the duplicates, and put them in one list.

2

We tag the trades involved

A new-build single family gets tagged concrete, framing, roofing, drywall and the rest. Filter to your trade and the noise disappears.

3

You get a call list, sorted by value

Biggest jobs first, with the builder's name and address. Mark who you've called so you never dial the same company twice.

Where the data comes from

Municipal open records — published by the cities themselves. Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, Delta, Abbotsford, Township of Langley, North Vancouver, White Rock and Squamish.

That matters: it's official, it's current, and it isn't scraped from behind somebody else's paywall.

What you actually see

Address, city, project value, permit number, type of work, date issued, the description off the permit, and the builder or applicant on record — company name and mailing address where the city publishes it.

Straight talk on phone numbers: most cities don't publish one. You get the company name on 9 out of 10 residential leads, which is enough to find them in thirty seconds. Only a handful of records carry a direct phone.
